Terms of use
The agreement between you and Rolito’s when you use the app or this website. Please read it with the privacy policy.
Who we are
These terms are between you and us. By using Rolito’s, you agree to them.
Your account
- You must be 16 or over to have an account.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens with your account.
- Your handle must not pretend to be someone else. We may change or take back a handle that does.
What you publish
- Recipes, lists, your page and photos stay yours. Published, they’re public, with your name on them.
- You let us store, show and share what you publish, in the app, on this website and in share links, anywhere in the world and without payment. This ends when you delete it or your account.
- Only publish what’s yours to share, and what follows the community rules.
Community rules
You agree to these before you first publish anything.
- Be kind. No harassment, bullying, threats or hate, about anyone or anything they are. Disagree about coffee, not people.
- Keep it clean. Nothing sexual, violent or graphic, in words or photos. Rolito’s is for everyone.
- Keep it safe. Don’t share brewing advice that could hurt someone, or anyone’s personal details.
- Keep it real. No spam, ads in disguise, scams or pretending to be someone else. Share recipes and lists you stand behind.
- Respect others’ work. Only post what’s yours to share, and say where a recipe came from.
Anyone can report a recipe, list, post, page or roastery that breaks these rules, or block someone. We look at every report within 24 hours, take down what breaks the rules and may close the accounts behind it. We don’t tolerate objectionable content or people who abuse others.
For roasters
- Claim only a roastery you own or work for, and tell us the truth when you show it’s yours. We approve each claim by hand, and only approved members can change a roastery’s page and coffees.
- Keep your coffees, prices, stock and links correct and up to date. What you publish must be lawful, yours to use and not misleading.
- You let us show your roastery’s name, logo, photos and descriptions in Rolito’s and on this website, and share them in links.
- We may correct or hide a listing, or take back an approval, if a listing is wrong or breaks these terms.
- What you sell, you sell to the buyer, on your own terms. Rolito’s isn’t part of the sale.
Coffee, recipes and brewing
- Coffee details come from roasters and their websites, and a scan is read by a computer. Either can be wrong or out of date, so check with the roaster before you buy.
- Recipes and ratings come from people, so they’re opinions. Brewing uses hot water and equipment: take care.
Buying coffee
Rolito’s doesn’t sell coffee. Buy opens the roaster’s shop, and the shop’s terms apply to what you buy there. Some Buy links are affiliate links: when you buy through one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Using Rolito’s fairly
Don’t try to get into other people’s accounts, get around scan limits, copy the catalogue in bulk, overload or attack the service, or use Rolito’s for anything unlawful.
Ending
- You can delete your account at any time.
- We may take down what breaks these terms or the community rules, and suspend or close the accounts behind it.
- We may change Rolito’s, or stop it. If we stop it, we’ll tell you first where we can, so you can ask for a copy of your data.
Our responsibility to you
We work to keep Rolito’s running and correct, but we can’t promise it always will be. We aren’t responsible for what other people publish, for what roasters sell, for losses we couldn’t have foreseen, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits what the law doesn’t let us limit, such as our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
The app stores
If you got Rolito’s from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for Rolito’s or its support, and Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce these terms as third parties. Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps also applies. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.
Changes, and the law
When these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we’ll tell you in the app first. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of your local law and can go to your local courts.
